Welcome to Overseas Nepali Forum - USA

Overseas Nepali Forum (ONF) USA is a 501(c)(3) social services non-profit organization for Nepali in the USA and Motherland Nepal. It was established in 2012 and registered with the Secretary of State in the USA. The purpose of the Overseas Nepali Forum is to assist the Nepalese community in America, and make them capable of enjoying the beauty of American democracy, and its remarkable diversity.

Since its establishment, our organization has conducted various programs that have been helpful in bringing the Nepalese community closer together. We are supporting our motherland in every hardship and different area of need, both for the government and the public.

Nepali people in America are working hard to fulfill their American Dream. With the great privilege we have to be here, our organization has remained active, successful, and popular among the Nepali diaspora in America.

1st President: Mr. Sanjay Thapa (The convention was held in New York from August 1–3, 2013).

2nd President: Mr. Prabhu Thapa (The convention was held in Baltimore from March 31 to April 2).

3rd President: Mr. Krishna P. Lamichhane (The convention was held in Boston on June 17–19, 2022).

Message From President

Dear all Nepalese in the USA,
Namaste!

It is a great honor for me to lead the Overseas Nepali Forum (ONF) USA for the years 2022–2025. As we get older and more disciplined, ONF USA will become more institutionalized. More participation, cooperation, dialogue, and constant improvement of this organization is required. Being responsible and upholding the organization's values will be my top priority.

We cannot influence and actively advocate for the Nepal government's policies and programs that affect overseas Nepalese in the United States until we strengthen our organization and gain the trust of our members. The largest contributor to remittance inflow to Nepal is the Nepalese diaspora living in the United States.

We shall work together to defend the benefits and rights of overseas Nepalis living in the USA. I sincerely promise to uphold the faith you have placed in me as the leader of this organization.

Our mission is to build cultural and racial harmony among the Nepali Diaspora in the Americas, cultivate Nepali identity, and equip people with the knowledge they need to prosper.

Vision

Fostering Nepali identity and culture, encouraging unity and peace among the Nepali Diaspora in the Americas, and providing information and tools for success.

Objective

Our objective is to represent and advance Nepali interests in the USA. We are attempting to promote Nepal's overall growth. Encourage and enable investment from Nepali Americans living abroad to aid Nepal's development efforts.
